Dec 06, 06 1:57 am
Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) has appointed Jan Hazelton as the new Vice President Development, Relationships & Funding for Europe - a new role, which will see Hilton drive its development strategy to a new level in key markets.
Jan joins Hilton from New York where she has been working for Calyon (formed from the merger of Crédit Agricole Indosuez and Crédit Lyonnais) as Senior Relationship Manager/Director - Lodging Group. She brings a wealth of experience from the banking and financing sector for both single and multiple unit hotel developments, in the US and Europe.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP Development commented: "The HHC acquisition in February this year has brought with it a great opportunity for Hilton and the extended family of brands such as Doubletree, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn.
"We have identified key development markets for these brands and have worked quickly to boost the team, who will have responsibility for driving the strategy and maximising the opportunity. Jan's background in banking and finance is sure to bring an additional dimension to our development focus."
Jan will work closely with the European development team to match projects and opportunities with partners and investors, commencing her position with Hilton in early in December 2006.
